The A526 had its first track run two days earlier during a filming day at Silverstone, giving fans a look at the blue and pink design, a signature feature of the team. Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto remain as the driver pairing, while Steve Nielsen serves as Managing Director and Flavio Briatore as Executive Advisor.

After a challenging 2025 season, which saw Alpine finish last in the Constructors’ Championship with 22 points, the team focused early on developing the A526, preparing for the switch from a Renault power unit to Mercedes and mastering the new technical regulations. “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter for BWT Alpine Formula One Team… the new regulations give us a clean sheet and a great opportunity to be more competitive”, Briatore said at the launch.

Gasly, who scored all of the team’s points last year, stated: “I’m really excited for this season… it’s going to be very technical and there’s a lot to learn and adapt to, but the goal remains to win. The team has done a fantastic job over the winter to prepare as best as possible”. Colapinto added: “For the first time in my career, I’ve had a full off-season, allowing me to be part of the project from day one and face an incredible challenge with this car”.

With a mix of experience and adaptation to technical changes, Alpine aims to start the 2026 season with a strong step toward competitiveness, leaving behind last year’s struggles and targeting results that reflect the effort of the entire team and its partners.
