Max Verstappen secures victory as Lando Norris claims first drivers’ championship

Max Verstappen claimed victory with a flawless performance, while Lando Norris secured his first drivers’ championship, marking a historic year for McLaren. Red Bull Racing: Dominance and resilience

Max Verstappen, defending champion, shone in every lap:
“I’m very proud of the whole team… This season was a rollercoaster with many challenges, but I’m proud of everyone.”

Meanwhile, Yuki Tsunoda had a tough weekend. A 5-second penalty for forcing Lando Norris off track impacted his race:
“I tried to hold Norris, but he was too fast. Then in the second stint, things got tricky. Still, I can look back knowing I gave it my all.”

McLaren: A dream realized

Lando Norris, finally crowned champion, expressed his excitement after receiving the title:
“We did it, World Champion! This is for everyone who supported me: my family, my team, everyone at McLaren.”
