Williams has officially revealed the new livery for the 2026 Formula 1 season, presenting a striking visual identity that will accompany the FW48 into the championship’s new regulatory era.
The unveiling took place on Tuesday at Grove, where Team Principal James Vowles, alongside race drivers Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon, presented the design to the team’s 1,200-strong workforce, highlighting the symbolic significance of this moment for the historic British outfit.
The FW48 is dominated by a vibrant gloss blue as its primary color, contrasted by a black section running along the side of the chassis to the rear, creating a strong sense of movement even at a standstill.
A red and white keyline completes the design, paying homage to Williams’ championship-winning cars such as Nigel Mansell’s FW14B and Damon Hill’s FW18, the latter celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026.
The most notable update is the addition of white across the sidepods, front wing, and rear wing, enhancing contrast and reinforcing the refreshed identity of the Atlassian Williams F1 Team.
The 2026 livery also introduces a new suite of partners, notably Barclays, a bank with long-standing historical ties to Williams and its founder Sir Frank Williams, who provided financial services to the team for many years.
Speaking at the launch, Vowles said: “2026 is the next step on our path back to the top for Atlassian Williams F1 Team as we enter a new era for the sport, and we are excited about the season ahead. We have a great driver lineup, fantastic new partners, and a growing fanbase, but we are not naïve about the challenge ahead of us.”
Albon described the FW48 as “bold, modern, and unmistakably Atlassian Williams F1 Team,” while Sainz added that the car is “a clear statement of our intent for 2026,” blending heritage with a fresh and dynamic approach.
Despite a challenging start after missing the Barcelona Shakedown due to production delays, Williams confirmed that the FW48 has passed all mandatory crash tests and will take part in official pre-season testing in Bahrain from February 11, aiming to build on their fifth-place finish in the 2025 Constructors’ Championship.
